i promise this'll be a quick one....!
today, i went out. (dont scold me!) even though im flat broke. (it's true!) i repeatedly reported that fact to my dear eating partner but no she was just too determined to lure me into the vortex of vicious craving, which would in turn lead me on to splurging. (and so you say it's the last...) but nonetheless, i agree it's a good remedy for a day like today, what with a thick overhanging pms atmosphere and countless moodswings. (with rickety chains and a worn rubber seat) i thought where we went was a good choice of place for sinful picnicking (otherwise known as pigging out), with cakeries and bakeries, brownie factories and papa beardies..... though there was a shortage of incomings, i'm probably quite satisfied with one or two.(squared and folded ears; flesh-impy!) sitting around on a friday afternoon with so much food on your hands (literally) proves to be rewarding: blues were chased away, any hint of evil mood-wreckers were destroyed, and oh, we met an ex-crescentian. nice chat though i really could have done without those few agonizing moments (which seemed to go on forever) of clutching a piece of a delectable delicacy in our hands while staring at it with such longing eyes and not to mention having a hollow hole for a stomach at that moment. (we were a quarter-way into the picnic) i swear people could detect our longing a mile away. then we finished up as she left and set off for our (long and strenuous due to unforseen circumstances) journey home: we forgot the bus stop shifted. so we trudged along the pathless route with harassing branches assaulting you throughout. man did we rough it. so the day ended well, apart from the fact that we were close to kneeling down and puking everything out amongst the harassing branches.
right at this moment, really, all that matters is today. a blessing in disguise i'd call it(:
yesterday.
by hook or by crook i'd have to give an account for yesterday. it was ms azlin's belated birthday celebration and we had a $88 cake, paid for by, would you believe it, the pint-sized cruella(go figure). it was really an innocent and harmless event at first, a beautiful chocolate cake in all its glamour and a perky crescent styled birthday cheer done by no less than 80 guides. she made a wish, cut the cake and off we went to view the winning cheerleading video at the mini forum.. that was when it all started. sheryl and shiyun asked her if she would mind if we smashed a piece of cake into her face, while me and geyi stood behind them pretending to be deep in conversation when actually just waiting with bursting anticipation for the right moment to strike. she was reluctant and walked away hurriedly but oh no, not so easily would we let her off. so everyone (joyce jessica delia included) grabbed a pinch of cake and cream and charged at her. immediately she ran for the staffroom but our cornering attempt was successful as we steered her towards the parade square. who knew that, having however respectable and dignified a reputation did not stop her from unleashing her full prowress as she cleverly went back to slice more cake (stock up on ammunition) in self-defence. well, not quite. self-defence, my ass. more like i'm-gonna-get-you-for-that-you-kljserlkjewrjkh! it was a gruesome, unhumane, unmerciful, vicious, aggressive and highly scheming cake fight which never seemed to die down. like a resilient candle in the wind, it just went on and on and on, and on and on, because of crafty people who time and time again called for a truce just to catch others off guard went about traumatizing everyone. she even fell down intentionally to create a chance to slap chocolate onto the face of anyone who went foward to help her. how sly. in the end she had huge brown handprint stains on both sides of her tudung and chocolate cream all over her face. and this was all done while the whole guide company was watching the video serenely, not daring to move upon hearing our piercing screams and heart-chilling war cries. somehow i think they werent watching the film at all. i pity delia, the only sec3 involved in the crossfire, yet the one with the most casualties. (the next time she goes for meetings in a pale brown shirt, dont ask her why)
the mini forum is now stained with our sweat, and blood(more like chocolate) we shed in all that struggling,
truly leaving a last legacy. dont you agree?(: oh it was memorable.. but now she's bent on taking revenge. really, you dont owe us anything, it was our pleasure(:
